Synopsis
From child prodigy to world-famous conductor and teacher, Yehudi Menuhin was one of the world's undisputed international ambassadors of music. Tony Palmer's intimate film profile reveals Menuhin's history from his New Y ork roots and sensational Paris debut at age eleven to becoming the first major Western classical soloist playing jazz and Indian music and running a school at Stoke d'Abernon.

The film includes exclusive interviews with family and friends, including never-publicly-before-seen archival material owned by Menuhin himself. The conductor is viewed at work with the Asian Youth Orchestra in Hong Kong, the Warsaw Sinfonia in Poland, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and his own Chamber Orchestra at Epidaurus in Greece.
