| The Fabulous Thunderbirds were formed in 1978 by guitarist Jimmy Vaughan and vocalist Kim Wilson. They signed to Takoma records, releasing their self titled album, and subsequently Chrysalis. Following the release of the bands' fourth album T-Bird Rhythm in 1982 they were dropped by Chrysalis and went on to sign to Epic/Associated with Dave Edmundo producing their next hit album Tuff Enuff. After releasing two solo albums Kim Wilson reconvened the Fabulous Thunderbirds who continue to record and tour to this day.
