The emotional, hard-hitting tale of an East L.A. gang leader, Jose, who gets involved with a big score when he finds out his girlfriend is pregnant. It was only going to happen once, and he was going to make enough money to set them free of worries. But something went wrong, and Jose ended up in jail, unable to help anyone. While serving his sentence, Jose transforms himself from die-hard gangster to an honest, caring man, only to discover that his son, Shepito, is involved with his old gang. Jose returns to his neighborhood from prison resolved to steer his young son away from the gangsta life to start over. But Jose discovers his old friend and fellow gangster, Joker, now the leader of their neighborhood, is corrupting everything sacred to him. Jose may have to go back to his old ways just to do the right thing.
